Any 747 window seat trumps an aisle seat for sleeping. Therefore 20 A/K without hesitation.

This excellent thread may help:

20 A or K but don't print your BP at OLCI as UD seats may appear.

There is a specific thread for CW seating queries if you weren't aware

Mods please could you move this to the Seating Queries thread, and close this one.

Many thanks

I am BA gold and we are traveling as a family of three (child is 3 yrs old) which row is best in center for a family in CW on A380 ?

Flying from SFO on the night flight

More legroom and less noise is desired, currently holding the center three in row 51 DEF any better suggestions, does row 56 have more legroom?

Rows 51 or 52 seem the best if you want to avoid noise, although you will have quite a bit of traffic to the front toilets. 58 might be better in that respect. If 56 provides more leg room it is only a few inches, but that might be what you're looking for. But it is also nearer the galley (and a third toilet.) Also with any of those rows, to get to the center seat you might need to step over the legs of someone in the next (higher) row. I always thought the 51 aisle seats appeared quite exposed, but it is probably more true of B/J than D/F.

I've never traveled in CW with a little one, so there are many with more experience than I, but I would consider the lower deck, where one of the adults can sit next to the little one in the middle pair, with the other adult on one of the sides. I'm not saying that's what you should do, but I would consider it. YMMV and hopefully those with actual experience will chime in.

Hi everyone. Travelling MEX - LHR On a 787-9 in a few weeks with my partner. We don’t have status, and as yet haven’t paid for seat reservation.

I have checked this morning and it’s looking quite busy. Is it likely that we will be able to select 2 seats together at online check-in? Just slightly concerned that we’ll end up with seats separate.

I have attached a screenshot from manage my booking.

Many thanks, Chris.

With all UD seats taken, I have a choice between 20A and 22A on 86J for JFK-LHR. I would just like to sleep. Is there a bulkhead wall after 20A?

I like 64A/K more than 62A/K and wondering which one from 20 or 22 would be as close as possible to that.

If you provide date and flight number, someone may be able to look at the loads which would provide a better idea of how full the cabin is. Also, do you have any BA/One World status?

My mother just booked a few RT club world flights ex-LHR but was told she can't reserve her seats without a fee. Is this accurate?? I was able to reserve a seat on my award BA flight later this year but I assume that was because I'm One World emerald.

If she has no One World status, yes, this is accurate. And yes, it was your status that allowed you to select a seat prior to T-24h/online checkin.

Only Sapphire and Emerald get free seat selection at booking. Ruby get it 7 days before. Everyone else is pay or wait until 24 hours before at OLCI:
