Neither of those is as reliable an indicator of the aircraft currently planned to operate your specific flight as the actual seat map for the actual flight.

One check you can do is to use ExpertFlyer to look at the seat map for the other cabins on your actual flight to confirm which of the 777 configurations is the currently planned one.

LHR-BOS in F on a 777. Can't tell if it's a 200 or 300.

1k and 2a are available. Which to pick?

A380 First Seat Advice please - first A380 flight.

Hello, I am booked to fly from Singapore to London BA12 in a month or so and currently have seat 3K assigned. The cabin is showing all window seats are taken and only 2 E/F and 3 E/F available.

With 4 E/F having been booked would I be correct in assuming that the bassinet seat is likely to be in play?

If this is indeed likely would I be better of switching seat to 2F given my current proximity to possible baby noise? It is a night flight so window itself is not so important to me. Getting a decent sleep more important.

Am I sacrificing a more private seat in order to gain a little less potential noise? I understand the A380 cabin is far quieter than other planes so perhaps a few rows difference is irrelevant anyway?

If anyone has any input into sharing A380 first cabin with infants on board I would appreciate the feedback. cheers

All the A380 First seats are the same. In my experience it makes no difference where you sit, if there is a screaming baby on board everyone is going to hear it! People mention light and noise pollution in the front and back rows, I've never been affected by either.

All seats are private on A380; the angle is good and also the high sides make sure there is no sight of other passengers when seated

A380 F baby = bad to really bad dependent on parents/baby. I'd walk through J and if quiet ask for a downgrade.

If you do a dummy booking in CW for your flight you can see if it is a 200 or 300.

If CW has rows 10-15 it is a 200. If it shows rows 10-16 then it is a 300. A handy site for seatmaps is thebasource.com

Going west I'd take 1K to avoid any sun shining through.

Hi, just booked San Diego on Apr 25th next year for our 1st First.
Currently have 1E and F. MMB says 777.
Cabin wide open, would you stick with 1E and F?

You can buddy dine so if window is your preference then switch - however if socialising more important stick to the E/Fs

Buddy dine is agony for the one on the buddy seat. I'd move to 2E/F as they feel less cramped but all seats are good.

Depending on your body size, I certainly wouldn't call it "agony" maybe uncomfortable after s while - especially in 744 nose

Best First Class Seats ?

My spouse and I will be flying first class, 1st leg from SAN to LHR on 777 and a 2nd leg from LHR to CPT on a 744. I've never flown first class on BA (I flew Business Class once and it was horrid , sitting next to a stranger who had to step over me to get to the restroom). For these flights, I'm inclined to choose the middle 2 seats closest to the restroom for convenience.

Seatguru is showing a different configuration than the "Manage My Booking" on BA website. Seatguru shows restrooms both front and rear whereas BA shows restrooms in the rear only. Curious which is the correct seating chart? How bad can foot traffic be when the entire First class cabin is so small correct?
Thank you.

The BA seat maps are the most accurate - check the ones on the BA website

I'd add "....and for the person in the more forward seat - constant nattering only a few inches away from one's head - a terrible invention"

I am about to book a flight on an aircraft that has 17 seats in the F cabin. I don't think I've ever flown in a 17 seat cabin before. Is there any downside to this aircraft? Rubbish IFE or anything?
