Red face "Lost" booking references

I made two seperate bookings for friends (to max Avios) on my BA Amex card. I cannot find the email confirmations so do not have the booking references, yes I know I should have written them down! My Amex statement only has the ticket numbers, how do I find out the booking references without spending hours on the phone?

+1, whenever I buy tickets for someone else, I never receive email confirmation. It always goes to the person doing the flying (doesn't it ask for the email address of the person flying?).

You may find this information on the expanded details on the Amex online statement. I don't think they'll tell you on the telephone either!

Get to the http://www.saudiairlines.com/portal/...pletesite=true home page.
  • Select the "MANAGE BOOKINGS" tab.
  • Select the "e-Ticket" option.
  • Bung in the Ticket number and PAX Surname.
  • Select "RETRIEVE MY BOOKING" and
  • ... off you go ...

My first suggestion would be to log in to your executive club account and check if the bookings show there. If they dont then call up but try early on in the day ie before 9 to try n avoid busy times. Call centre is open from 6 UK time and not that many people ring between then and 8.30/9.00 ish.
