Booking with travel agent, no chance of upgrading?
I don't, as a rule, use travel agents.
However, they can offer me a flight on BA that is over £400 cheaper with them than with BA direct.
Is this likely to be a mega bucket seat that has no chance of being offered an upgrade?
Thanks guys.
Gordies.

I think it's highly unlikely if you're buying a Y ticket for £400 less than from BA directly, however as previous poster said, a booking class can determine whether or not you are eligible for an upgrade.

If it's O class, it's not upgradeable with Avios even if you book it directly with BA, so it makes no difference if you are looking to upgrade with Avios.
I'd suggest going with what is cheaper, as long as you are happy with change restrictions etc.
