Just to snowball on from Door1Left's post, the new short haul routes this summer (Inverness, Billund, Menorca, Palermo, Chania, Biarritz and Kalamata) will be operated by EuroFleet.

The thing I'm most excited about is not going the Dubai, such a dreadful place which attracts the worst kind of customers, not all of course.

DXB usually has BAH-based Arabic speakers onboard, is that not an issue?

No, DXB will no longer have Arabic speakers, to be honest we don't have many Arabic speaking customers on these flights and the ones we do all speak English better than other customers on this route.

Oh god yes. I detest DXB with a passion... I am sure it is a different experience when you are staying in Dubai proper and have everything around you... But, when we stay in a so-so hotel by a motorway, not quite the same experience...

As for customer profile... Well, no comment.

On the basis of my one and thankfully only visit I wouldn't be so sure.

Well, I am sure the Burj Al-Hijab or whatever it is an upgrade on our hotel...

Anyhow... If I never go back, it will be too soon.

Only time I have ever been physically assaulted was on a DXB... So it does not make me want to go back.

I've never understood some crew's reservations about operating LAS (besides the fact it's a nightstop, so only about 22 hours in the hotel). It's a demanding flight but generally "nice" demanding. People either going to conferences or going to "treat themselves" to a holiday or a break away. They want a lot, but generally are in a good mood, quite chatty and pretty laid back. Put it this way, nobody has ever clicked their fingers at me on a Vegas!
