Transferring to an earlier flight. LHR Domestic.

Afternoon all,

Does anyone know I turn up to the airport early having been booked onto a later domestic, will BA allow me to transfer to an earlier flight if seats available?

Is there a fee?

Yes, if your ticket allows changes. You will pay the change fee and any fare difference.

Only if you have a semi-flex (the ones that allow free same day changes) or fully flex fare and seats are available on the earlier service.

Otherwise it'd be change fee + fare difference.

It depends on the fare basis, which you may find on the e-ticket tab of classic.checkmytrip.com -you may have to pay 60, plus any fare difference if it's inflexible. Just the fare difference it is a more flexible ticket. If it's Avios, forget about it, it won't be changed.

No same day standby unfortunately. If you have a flexible ticket fine. If not a flexible ticket, they will want the change fee of 60 and the fare difference.

Remember there's also a semi-flex ticket category that allows free changes on the day without the need to pay the fare difference or change fee.
