Yep, I got this too. New York for me, apparently.
We should all descend upon Waterside and demand our free flights.

oh goody, what a lovely idea....wonder if it'll be the same pricing ZRH-EDI...I don't want to have to go over to the dark side (French speaking bit on the far side of the Roestigraben )

I'm sure a gnome in the garden will have a pot of gold I can cash in for the fees

BA Email: You now have enough Avios for a LH F or J...

..... But don't get too excited because there's absolutely no availability at all.

I mean talk about playing with expectations.

The email is good. Tells me how many miles I have and how to use the destination finder with all the helpful links.

Then when I search for availability there is none.

Apart from JFK that is - been there - done that - had a ride on the Coney Island Cyclone!

You're Maths is much better than mine.

I dare not guess how many RFS you could do

Took me a moment to realise they weren't offering you redemptions on Lufthansa...

Very true. I have well over a million Avios and have had for a number of years. I earn a lot of Avios and spend a lot of Avios every year so not sure why Mr Hillier suddenly felt the urge to congratulate me. This one falls fairly and squarely into my definition of junk mail.
Another example of EC's 1) attention to detail and 2) personalised, targeted marketing that asked me on the home page (just below confirming my name and holding of 1.1 million Avios) if I knew that I had enough Avios to fly to Tel Aviv in WTP when they had just introduced 321's with Y and J only!

I'd go for the A321

...and which you would of course hardly notice having just added Ł500 for "fees and taxes" to the 80K Avios for your Club World return to JFK.

CONFUSED!

Why has my comment about LONG HAUL REDEMPTIONS been moved an buried within a European thread?

Presumably because it's about the same email (maybe the subject line needs modified), just the OP was offered a European redemption instead of long haul.

The only time I think BA got their targeting right in an email to me was when they picked up I was travelling from MAN a lot (and I've never had a Manchester address in my profile) and it promoted RFS redemptions from MAN.

Has BAEC increased the number of avios for European flights?

I had a minor moment as I thought I had accidentally triggered an Amex 241 voucher. Other than that, a rubbish email from BA. Mind you, still waiting for the one telling me about the extra charges for changing a reward booking.

Hihi, to be honest this was my first reaction too. Why if not due to this should I get an email from BAEC telling me that I've earned an award flight!?!?! Seconds later I realized my mistake... Obviously someone forgot to add some restrictions to this mass-marketing-email. Funny seeing this being sent out to frequent flyers with lots of avios in the accounts...
