Well that's F award availability to the West Coast totally obliterated. As if it wasn't hard enough!

Will it make J harder to get hold of too? Or will they release extra J seats now?

Otherwise even less general reward availability!

Why would they block the F cabin if J isn't full? Seems pretty tone deaf. It would be a nice way to reward status pax.

Hopefully it'll happen soon... I think I prefer OF over the UD...
I don't think it will be. One of the posts above says the OF cabin will only become available after all 52 CW seats are sold.

Does OF have updated IFE? If not, I think I'd rather take my chances with CW which, I presume, will have been updated to the pre-A380 incarnation and thus have better IFE.

Yup, it has the same system as the rest of the aircraft, the screen is not really any worse than the CW one and certainly not worse enough to justify staying in a CW seat over OF

IFE will be the same throughout the aircraft. The Upgraded TES (AVOD) system is installed onboard those 747s still fitted with old First.

Hmm. Not sure how well this will work without a MMB seat map update and giving status holders the option.

I book 64A ... I turn up at the gate to find myself 'upgraded' with no choice?

Why will only 65 J seats be sold? Why not the full 66 seats?

One permanently reserved for corporate-wage-slave?

If he wants it, that is.

What's minimum crew on the 744?

It doesn't take 3 CC to look after 3 CW cabins.

Is the Purser back in CW or will we see just a Purser in traveller as per other 3 class aircraft?

Am I right in thinking that this would need to be a hand run service as the aisles won't take a trolley in "F"?

Seems odd to block it until all seats elsewhere are taken.

I am off to MIA in March 2015 in F. MIA is a mid J route so if F is to be retained on this route does this mean that from this winter it will always be operated by an aircraft with NF?

Well this is a kick in the nether region. I'm pretty sure PHX had a good ratio of NF and OF but now it seems that NF will be gone altogether. I cannot possibly see how this is a good development

My LAS-LHR flight on 19/10 is still selling F; I am still booked in F, and haven't received my 75% involuntary downgrade compensation yet!

Fingers crossed
