LIN-LHR-JFK-SEA is a steal at ~GBP1500, which is the typical WT+ fare.

But annoying that the JFK-SEA seams to book into I class (Business) even though it'll be First in reality (two-class 737) so 140 TPs not 210.

If you book it on AA.com not BA.com you'll get the 210 TPs as it will book into A class.

The fare I'm looking at, ZRH-LHR-SEA, is a couple hundred cheaper on AA.com than BA.com. Any disadvantages to booking it with AA? It's all BA metal.

You won't be able to UUA into F if you book on AA.com. Otherwise I don't think there's any disadvantage.

it's a quirk that's been there a while. Domestic F books into i class on ba.com but A class on AA.com.

If you don't want to upgrade with Avios, it's worth it for the TPs.

Another quirk of these sales is that LCY-JFK is usually excluded if you book on BA but allowed on AA.

Thanks everyone, just saved myself 100,000 Avios points

Had booked LHR - JNB / CPT - LHR in business using Avios but managed to get the same flights for £1450 via AMS.

Thanks for the info!

No availability for the dates I'm traveling in F. I'll save the Avios for upgrading WTP fares, or doing a trip from ZRH to EDI in the future.

Of course, I suppose there's always the chance of an AUP...

You can always phone up BA and ask to book the AA segment under the AA flight number.

Also HEL-JFK-HEL flights on AY metal are on sale, 666€/direction, that is actually 140 TP/direction i.e. 280 TP for the whole trip, too bad for the 7 day stay over, otherwise might have been tempting to make a small TP run in J.

Just under €1000 e/w on the random dates I've been looking at.

Added: Before the website crashed, €750-770 in July. 1st Sep onwards they jump to €970 e/w.
