iOS
Problem :
-upgrade button doesn’t work. It delivers MMB section but no upgrade ability (says to use normal website)
-seat map doesn’t work (just shows random symbols, not sure if iOS or Android related)
-BEY is in the "Europe" category rather than Middle East
-FDH: an extra "f"
-passbook error fails to download boarding pass - details here.
-On the flight status pages, there is no way to refresh the flight status to view latest information - surely you should be able to swipe down to refresh?
-Wifi password page lists closed BA lounges - Nairobi, Istanbul, Mumbai.
- app doesn't seem to update booking details when a return flight is changed via TA after outbound flown, second time I've experienced it recently (resolved when I check-in for booking via ba.com, albeit with a big of a lag - 5 mins+)
- Unable to download terminal maps because hard-coded server name no longer exists
- Ability to download mobile BPs is tied to phone clock showing 24 hours before departure whereas on connections and same-day returns the BP can be available before this.
-Business UK status not showning fast track status.
- The app fails to redirect to AA correctly to change seats on a BA booking
- receiving between 13-15 notifications per OLCI on notifications screen for each flight (testing ios10).
- App shuts down audio playing on other apps when certain BA app pages are loaded, including award search.
- The iPad app does not show the current year's tier points once you retain GGL. A panel on the My Account page, that I assume shows progress to the next tier, simply says you have retained GGL.
- as guest, Wallet boarding pass does not show oneworld status
Query :
-will gate numbers and baggage carousel numbers for non UK airports be displayed?
-Does the timer that determines how soon after departure time the "your next flight" section is updated work? And does this adjust with delays to the flight?
-where did the airport maps go?
-no pictures on the new destinations

-Facility to add membership card to Wallet
-Booking of awards within the app
-GUI menu button move to left hand side
-synch across devices so if checked in on PC then ability to directly get BP
-gate number displayed on BP
-display booking class in MMB section under further details. (currently this only works using the upgrade button and then clicking on the flight segment in question)
-consistent UI (some sections are new and some revert to mobile site GUI)
-swipe to go back one step as per Apple standards

When using the iOS app, searching flight status can bring some interesting results. For example, searching for LHR > MIA flights today will show AA57 (BA1526) as the first flight. The problem is -- from the results perspective -- is that this flight then continues onto Denver on different aircraft. Yet the app insists on showing me the Denver leg as well as telling me that it's a flight to Denver (via Miami). Surely that's a glitch.
I have not tried the very latest version of the iPhone app -- 5.10, released a few days ago -- but I doubt it would have changed.

But I am not searching for a flight from A to C with an equipment change stopover in B. I don't need to know that the flight is going on to C when I am just interested in the A to B journey. Just because AA considers it a through-flight, that information is redundant to my search and can be potentially confusing.

The iOS app has stopped keeping me logged in recently - massive pain. Tried amending the 'always' option to '30 days' but issue is persisting. Doesn't seem to be impacting app running on iPad though...

I'm continue to have the same problem, it's very frustrating. I've deleted and reinstalled 5/6 times but I'm constantly being logged out - and always when in the CCR.

I do not have the same problem at any other airport, only the CCR (I don't use the other T5 lounges so cannot comment on those, presumably the same).

What I don't get is how has BA not yet updated the app for native resolution on iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Plenty of upgrades have been made since. Surely I would expect almost a year later even with a one person development team to be able to update the app.

Seems to have a glitch with canceled bookings. Had an avios redemption that I cancelled over a week ago. The return leg is still showing and a phantom return leg two weeks later that I hadn't ever booked. Neither show online but won't go from the app, even after logging out and back in again. Any ideas? Not a big deal mind.

British Airways is giving developers tentative access to small amounts of its data, launching a scheme to open up some of its APIs.
It’s very much a proof-of-concept situation, rather than a serious production effort, but a move forward none the less.
The developer.ba.com site isn’t new – but until yesterday it was only possible to connect to BA APIs to provide information (lowest prices, flight status etc).
BA now has APIs that enable shopping, specific flight pricing and creation of orders, opening a wide range of new possibilities for developers. BA is aiming at both web and mobile developers.
There are three categories of XML API: Air Shopping, which will allow users to search for availability and pricing; Flight Price, which validates a price quote and provides payment options; and Order and Create, which completes the booking, accepts payments and issues the ticket.
