juggling Amex 2-4-1's

I've read the relevant ino and am sure this isn't possible But just wanted to check.

Five people in a HHA. A B C D and E.

A and B have vouchers. Can A C D and E use the two vouchers on one booking?

My research suggests not but validation appreciated!

No, A and B must travel when using their own vouchers.

Thanks for that. Time to go nuts with the Amex card.

why don't you just make two bookings ? A&C, B&D (actually it's 3 as you have to then do E on their own) - it takes a while on the phone but I do this once a year.

I'm guessing the 5th ticket is revenue and he wants B to earn the TPs.

Exactly, which is why it won't work.

Now, if A had 2 vouchers, then any other 3 plus A could travel using both 2-4-1's.

About four years ago I booked the whole family of 5 of us to the West Coast in F, using 2 different 241 vouchers and one straight miles ticket. Now both of the 241's were in my name as the sole Amex cardholder in the house. So this was an A+B and a C+D (where the holder of the voucher was A) and then E on its own.

This was booked by phone and I was advised that provided that A was on the flights then C+D could travel on A's other 241.

As I understand it that's not a problem. It's when the second 241 is in B's name and B isn't travelling at all there's a problem.

This is specifically allowed by the rules for the voucher.
12.If the Member has two valid Companion Vouchers on their account they have the option to redeem both of them together for one flight booking allowing the Member to travel with 3 companions and pay the Avios flight price for only 2 people travelling on the booking.
