Mini Glasgow-Do, Friday May 30th
This Mini-Do is just simply a case of turning up and mingling - there is no attendance list and we won't mind if you can't make it - come and go as you like
Venue: Babbity Bowsters
Time: 7:00pm Onwards
http://www.babbitybowster.com
Address: 16-18 Blackfriars Street, Glasgow, G1 1PE
Babbity Bowsters is a traditional Glasgow Pub, where you will be sure of a warm welcome. I have organised with the owners to have some space in the back patio (the pub is small enough that you won't need directions to the back patio!), which has outdoor heaters and a canopy - but lets pray for some good weather so we can enjoy a lovely evening under the blue sky. Usually, a wee ceilidh band/fiddle band is playing to entertain guests.
Hope to see you all there!

Mini Glasgow Do - Friday 30th May
I was speaking with a few of the regulars from Glasgow and I know we have a few DOs that are upcoming but I don't think I'll be able to attend any of them.
Now that I'm based in Glasgow most of the time now I felt it would be nice to perhaps have a wee mini-do with some of the Glasgow locals - visitors welcome too, like you East Coast folk or if you are perhaps in town - everyone has an excuse to fly
Was thinking just to hit up a city bar or pub that has some good local beer and whisky and reacquaint with some Flyertalkers! No bookings. No menus. Just turn up if you fancy a pint, a dram and a chat.
Let me know who's interested. Thinking a date towards end of May would be nice.
Cheers

Saying that, at the HKG Do I didn't intend to drink much but I was very much led astray on the alcohol front in equal measures by ThatT1Feeling, where next and Beano HK. Hard core drinkers these lads are.............

Am interested. Couldn't make the london do nor any Scottish Dos last year.
Am away end of May but if date works out, am up for it.
Weekend of 9/10 may good for me if you are open to suggestions re date.

Don't pick that weekend just because it works for me obviously. Having been involved in organising a Do, it's either "Athens style direct democracy" with a poll (though you pick the options that work for you) or "Baghdad style dictatorship" with you choosing the date.
