AA Domestic Lounge Access

I've got 3 AA domestic F flights in the next 2 weeks. Will BAEC GC allow lounge access on these domestic legs? As I understand it, F seats per se will not grant lounge access on domestic flights.

EDIT: Could a grown up add an "e" to the thread title please?

Yes, BA Gold gets you AA lounge access in both First and Main Cabin domestically. It also gets you Flagship in LAX, JFK and ORD. Don't get too excited.

Thanks. Is there much to get excited about?

As CWS says your BA Gold gets you appropriate lounge access. In the event that you don't get offered vouchers for premium drinks do ask for them as some of the well drinks are poor quality.

Some F flights (i.e. Transcons) will give access to the AC or FL just on the strength of the F ticket.

But, do not plan on significant food offerings which would constitute a meal.

You would get that in the FL so it would depend which airports you were using.

In ORD there is not much in the FL TBH but in LAX and JFK there is real food in the FLs.

"Real food" really depends on the time of day. Think more GC at T5 rather than the CCR and you'll be about right.

AA Domestic Loung Access

They have a sparkling rosé wine called Chandon which you can use your vouchers for.

You can pretend it's champagne.

I haven't yet had the pleasure of the FL in ORD but have always found LAX and JFK OK. I prefer LAX though.

I like the FL in ORD. Anywhere that has fresh sushi is fine by me.

The ORD one is the worst of the 3 Flagships. The other two are OK but not as good as any of the BA lounges at LHR. In airports without the flagships the lounges are on the poor side and should definitely not be a reason to go early to be fed and watered

When compared to the average AClub the FLounge's are luxury.

Admittedly I have to be hard up to eat there, but much better on demand drink choices (I mainly stick to beer in absence of good wine or champagne).

Whilst not having been to Concorde F in T5, I have been to T5 F galleries, and must say that whilst this is very good, it can't compete with QF F lounge in SYD or MEL in terms of ala carte meals or red wine choices. But this may be a personal preference for heavy Aussie Shiraz ;-)

The AC lounge at LAX near gate 40 actually has good food (for purchase). I had several different items from the menu and they have been good. Pizza takes ~15-20 minutes as they make it fresh and it is quite good, similar prices to other in terminal food places.
