A dummy booking says it'll become up to 7 rotations daily.

LOL !
MrD saw a 777 heading west on approach to LHR on Monday (we were driving westbound on the Commercial Road) 'look, there's a plane that just left London City Airport' .......

Despite the fact I knew I would be flamed for my aviation geekiness I just had to put him straight !

He still thinks that 737s fly from there, I hadn't the heart to tell him

I'd prefer if they found a way to minimise time spent in the holding pens at the gate (which is probably an unrealistic expectation given apron traffic patterns require boarding in short sharp bursts).

I did notice on my last trip they were segregating the CE pax at the gate in a special area by the door, so that might count as a lounge!

I've always wondered why they don't at least offer a food voucher from any of the eateries there. Enough to cover say a sandwich, muffin and coffee would be nice. Date the vouchers so they can't be accumulated.

And they would fit that where? Only option would probably be making the handful of statusless passengers wait outside the building until boarding time, and turning the whole terminal into a lounge

Yes, be nice if they introduced a Newquay flight to replace the one AirSouthwest used to do, and bring back the Barcelona flight.

Would be nice if BA made a play for DUB-LCY. There's probably not room for two players but I bet they would stand a chance of winning in a battle with AF. It would look nice on their DUB schedule to have twice as many flights to London without spending precious Heathrow slots.

DUB-LCY was tried a few years back but no traction was gained in the market. It's too price competitive I suspect.

I would of thought it would be an ideal route for one of the leased S2000s to fill in any down time tbh.

Even if just seasonal ?
