My first PFUG

I have only been flying with BA for 12 months having moved over from the beardyones airline and yesterday I received my first upgrade and I have to say it it felt great. I had originally intended to book CE but 730 euros for ALC to LGW is a joke so I booked ET selected a exit row seat and waited for a Poug to for offered, which never came. I didn't do the online check in as last month they was a change of aircraft and the exit row seat changed (although the cabin manager moved me once on board). Due to an accident on the AP7 I was late to check in and was informed that the flight was overbooked and given my seat boarding card but told to expect a move to CE at the gate, which duly occurred. For me this really enforces the reward for reaching Gold and being made to feel appreciated, something that never happened in my years of being gold with VS

On another note it is great to see this route is regularily packed and I hope his will encouraged BA to take a long look at operating some European flights from Manchester. I think there is a large group of flyers who are fed up with the so called low cost airlines and are ready to fly BA again. I am sure they could compete against Monarch on a lot of their shedules.

we too flew VS for many years mainly because of the LAS route.

When BA got the LAS route too, we said farewell to VS, with not one opup.

Never regretted moving since then.

Having discovered the benefits of BA - T5, the flounge (yes, before anyone says how wonderful the VS lounge is, I much prefer selfservice) that's even taking into account you can get your hair cut at VS, LOL), numerous op-ups, lovely and professional CC, better J seats, and now my latest discovery the FUN of doing TP runs.

I am not saying BA hasn't got its flaws, far from it (my latest F was not exactly perfect tho it was OF :p) , it certainly beats its 'western' competition.
