Having flown 29A overnight, the temptation to stretch out onto that 'foot stool' was huge. It's at just the right height and distance to make 29A into a bed.

I didn't, I'm not that kind of traveler but I now understand the desire. Put stuff onto it to prevent someone half asleep from getting just a little too tempted.

Availability of the 'throne'

When do 28B&J become available for purchase (Silver card).
I just made a booking and expected to be able to pay for it now but non of the exit seats are available. Flight is Nov 21.
EF shows 28B as occupied and the others blocked.

Thanks.

NB Online booking has failed for me since Friday - shows a price but then errors out at the 'creating reservation' point claiming the seat has been sold in the meantime.

If you're just panning to sleep, I wouldn't bother spending the extra, the main benefits would be for storage etc on a day flight, which you'd not benefit from.

It would still be my first choice of seat, never one worth 50 pounds to me though

If 28J has been taken by then, do consider 29A and 29K as well.

I've had people poking feet through the gap in seats in the past too. Usually women (smaller feet I guess).

A spilt cup of tea can do wonders, but you have to be careful not to get it on your seat.

I gotta say, this made me laugh!

What is the actual seat no. for the 'throne' please?

Surly questioning out loudly what that awful smell is before turning to the person behind and apologising that you had not realised it was their feet and offering to ask the crew if they have a spare pair of socks and some deodorant.
