BHD& DUB
Just picked up on twitter that Willie Walsh has announced from October all Dublin and Belfast flights will depart and arrive from T5, for those of us on the Island it should make transferring that little bit nicer.

Nice bit of news for Irish customers ;)
Does that mean that a similar timescale for other BA flights to leave T1 is about to be announced ? cs |
Great news. Thanks for posting

Great news and long overdue. :)

Woohoo! Excellent news - am averaging once a week to DUB so far this year so may even convince me to go for CCR if I'm in the ballpark later this year
|
Although slightly worried about how close that plane is to the Aviva stadium - good 10km or so short of the runway

A little OT, but ... Am I correct that BHD-LHR (stopover) - DUB (or vice versa) should price as an RFS redemption for 4,500 Avios and modest fees? |
Guv1976, yeah RFS and £17 (one way)

In theory you could do the same with MAN-LHR-LBA, etc but I've not been able to get it to work online. |

Thanks. It looks a lot like an open-jaw roundtrip to me. ;) How easy is a ground transfer between BHD and DUB? Driving yourself would be a quick 2 hours. |

Walsh said Dublin and Belfast flights are moving to T5
http://www.irishtimes.com/business/sectors/transport-and-tourism/walsh-says-he-will-not-change-style-when-head-of-ntma-committee-1.1682761
"Speaking at the chamber dinner, he told guests that IAG subsidiary British Airways planned to land flights from Dublin and Belfast in Heathrow’s terminal five, moving them from their current destination at terminal one. The move would cut connection times to other BA services by 30-60 minutes." |
Thanks - and good news.
There is an earlier thread. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...6-bhd-dub.html |
