MMB/Expertflyer Aircraft Codes:
321 = Airbus A321
32Q = Airbus A321neo
UPDATE: Initial posts are now largely outdated but the seat plans and descriptions in post #1 are up-to-date and reflect the densified cabin layouts of both the CEO and NEO aircraft. Below is the basic summary from the WIKI on the "Densified A321" Thread
All BA's existing A321ceo aircraft have now been densified from 205 to 218 seats.
New A321neo aicraft are being added, these start with registration G-NEOP and onwards. These have 220 seats, with Row 9 having 6 seats rather than 4 seats.
There are no A321 205 seat aircraft now in service.
The first A321neo entered service on 30th November 2018.
A321ceo (CY218):
Seats with extra knee space are in rows 1, 10, 23 (pairs of 2 seats) and 24 (A and F only).
Seats in row 37 (back row) have no window view.
They have Pinnacle seats throughout.
There are middle seat tables in CE.
See this post from @CWS for some photos

The following elevation diagrams of the A321 CEO (type 21V) cabin show the relationship between seats and windows. Note, while the elevations show the arrangement of the DEF seats, the ABC side is effectively a mirror of what you can see here.
A321neo (CY220):
Extra Legroom seats are in rows 1, 16 and 27
Seats in roww 37 (back row) have no window view.
Rows 1-14 have Pinnacle Seats. Rows 15-37 feature Slimline Recaro Seats with no recline.
There are NO middle seat tables in CE.

Here are the corresponding cabin elevations of the A321 NEO (type 32Q). As with the CEO, the elevations show the arrangement of the DEF seats with the ABC side effectively a mirror of what you can see here.

Thanks for the help. It must be a densified A321. Will be my first trip on one, something to look forward to...
Does 24F have windows? I think I flew on an Iberia A321 which had no windows next to door 3.
Thanks again.

Are they really squishing two rows in behind the exits on the A320? That’s gotta be tight down the back, especially on the CEOs with the Pinnicle seat throughout.
I guess removing the toilets and loosing 2 inches of pitch is how it’s done? (Assuming the current pitch is 31, a Lav unit is similar and the new pitch is 29”)

I've just had a seat change on a BA flight from WAW to LHR on 31 December, and I am guessing it's the A321neo? It has 37 rows, a single emergency exit row 16 and then a double emergency exit row 26/27 with the double seats in row 26. I've not seen this layout before, and wondering whether to go for row 16 or row 27 (which I am guessing has more leg room). Will this aircraft have the horrible thin seats towards the back?

- Yes it is the A321neo.
- Row 26 is standard legroom B-E seats only (positioned in front of exit). 26F position is crew seat.
- Row 27 has extra legroom in ALL seats (27A-F). But NO window due to door position.
- Yes the thin Seats on Rows 15-37 (1-14 has Pinnacle.)
- Unsure about Row 16 although if extra legroom it will be much less than the huge room at Row 27 although Row 16 probably has a window but Row 27 doesn't.

Assuming it is a ceo. Then 24A would be my vote. Lots of legroom. (No crew seat in front) and you still have the window while being able to get out. 24F is similar although there is a crew seat in front of you but still lots of room. That would be my vote. 24A/24F.

and only a knee-level net - and do not recline. All the armrests, including the aisle side, are moveable. The overhead lockers in this area do not have any 'kit' in them so are all available, and seem to be of standard size and depth.
In future if I'm flying in Y I shall opt for up to Row 14 - I can cope quite well with standard seat pitch, and would prefer the old-style seat, table and seat-back fittings.

Hi. I can see at the start of the thread that the seating plans are outdated. I've currently confirmed 9C. I can't quite remember but I think that the crew sit in front of the seats on the right hand side, so I won't have a crew member facing me? Thanks for your help.

For you and all others. I have added a WIKi above with the updated information I compiled for the "Densified A321" Thread and I have copied it above. The new seatmaps can be found in the links in the WIKI along with Seat advice for both the A321ceo (CY218) and A321neo (CY220).

Am I on a non-existent seat? I have 22A on a 321. MMB seat map definitely doesn't look quite the same as FT or even Seat guru although it DOES tally with EF.
