Is it worth it? [POUG to WT+]
Been offered a £189 poug for my return from singapore to london is it worth it? Without knowing what seats they are in wtp?

Just checked there are 3 reward seats in club

If you're not going to miss the money, definitely.
If it means you won't be able to go out this weekend, then no. |

Personally I'd only do it if I thought it would make the difference between sleeping and not sleeping. Otherwise it's not an attractive enough offer to make me bite.

On a 13h flight, WTP is definitely worth it for £189!

You cannot upgrade with avios after a POUG.

Just curious - if POUGs book into a normal revenue bucket, what stops them from being UUA'able?

(especially with the (small) increased chance of a further opup to CW if you are travelling alone and don't have a special meal selected) |
Are you on the BA12 (744-operated) or BA16 (77W-operated)? If it's the BA16 I'd be particularly interested in POUG to WT+ given the excellent cabin on that aircraft, but if you may get stuck in a middle that'll dent that a bit.
Isn't the charge for pre-allocation £30 on WT+ from Singapore? Couldn't you call BA to check if aisles/windows/whatever are available and if so view this as a £219 POUG opportunity (£189+£30 fee)? |
I amon ba12 departing sunday the 19th @ 23:10
|
It depends on how busy the WT cabin is. If it is pretty empty, WT can be more comfortable than WT+ cabin as you can raise the armrests and spread out across the seats to get some sleep. In WT+ you are stuck with your single seat.

£189 works out as <£15 an hour...the extra space, better seat, better food, additional luggage capacity (if needed) and extra tier points/miles would make it a no brainer to me.
1,686 extra avios if Blue and 35 extra TPs. |
