[QUOTE=NayakNayak;22602383]Just want to give you information about outlets in new Mumbai Terminal 2. This is official information from Customer Service and Quality.

Hi, NayakNayak, since you are obviously the official spokeperson, what are you doing about the mosquitoes? They appear in nearly every posting on this thread. There is no terminal in the world that has the problem to the extent of T2. There was no problem in the old terminal!!
As for the lounge issue which I have referred to in a previous posting - it is a disaster!

No mosquitoes in evidence when I was there a couple of weeks ago (day flight). Other people have reported no mosquitoes during recent visits too, so seems like they have hopefully fixed that problem.^

Is there much difference between the First and Business lounges?
Do standard BA/OW lounge access rules apply?

New Mumbai International Terminal (15 Jan 14): Change to lounge
There is really no separate First lounge. They only have a separate small seating area for First class passengers, within the same lounge. Everything else (food, restrooms, etc.) is in the common part of the lounge
Edit: I'm not sure how they apply the lounge access rules since it's not exclusively a BA/OW lounge. I was on a First (redemption) ticket

Airside Transit?
I have a question regarding an international to international connection at BOM T2. I am looking at arriving on Etihad, remaining "airside" and departing a few hours later on Lufthansa but am not sure if I need a get a visa beforehand. I would be traveling with hand-luggage only. I see visa on arrival is still not available for India but would I be stopped from boarding the Etihad flight to BOM without a visa (just evidence of an onward connection). Thanks in advance for any assistance.

if you are in-transit, there is a seperate area for you to go to, there is no need for a visa,
you basically remain in the departure lounge, last time I was there, (a month ago) I saw separate counters still in the airport before customs that I believe you go to , they will of course have you go thru security again, but after that you will be allowed back in to the main departure area of the airport

I don't have any photos, but I had travelled back from BOM last week in first. There is only one common lounge for both the classes. No different floors

First Clipper Lounge now open.
Sitting in the new First Class lounge in BOM T2. It is accessed through the temporary lounge on level 3 by Gate 85. Mention to staff at the entrance that you are in BA First and they escort you to an elevator and upto the 4th Floor where there is a private First Class lounge called "Pranaam". Used by First Class passengers from several airlines. Modern but uninspiring, it seats around 30 in reasonable comfort and has a basic selection of non-premium drinks served at your table by courteous staff. Has a feeling of being only 90% complete - wires still hanging out the wall in the agents where the hand dryer is still to be fitted. However, a vast improvement to the temporary facility downstairs which still has a sectioned off 'First Class' seating area should you prefer a little less tranquility.

New Mumbai International Terminal (15 Jan 14): Change to lounge
Currently sat in the temporary lounge. I am guessing the pranaam lounge isn't for GCHs traveling in CW. Actually tbh I am rather pissed off with Mumbai airport and the lounge. How many times do things need checking and stamping? Also the wifi in the lounge requires you to enter your mobile so you get a code to log on - still can't get the iPad connected though. Aarrgggggh! Not in a good mood.
