Tesco and Avios
Tesco, the major UK supermarket chain, allows you to convert Tesco Clubcard (CC) points to Avios. The standard earning rate is 1 CC point per Ł1 spent in store. They convert to Avios in the ratio of 1 CC point to 2.4 Avios or 2.5 Virgin miles. Every quarter, your points are converted to coupons and mailed to you - they can then be converted via the CC website to Avios or Virgin miles. Typically, it takes 1-2 working days for a conversion to BA Avios to complete.

The key to rapidly earning large amounts of Avios is the regular bonus point offers where large amounts of points can be earned. The latest are listed below and discussed within this thread.

The last period for collecting Clubcard points finished on 16 October 2014.

The last day for collecting points in the current quarter is 21 January 2015
.

Topcashback (TCB)
A cashback generating site, that provides cashback if you go to a wide range of online retailers via their links. Uniquely amongst such sites, TCB allows up to Ł50 of cashback per year to be withdrawn to your Tesco Clubcard account, which could then be transferred to 12,000 Avios. As of the middle of May, most cashback can also be transferred directly to your Avios account 1p=1 Avios. http://www.topcashback.co.uk/

I remember pangalatic had a list for all tesco elligible inks so not sure if something exists for 2014?

Thanks
Not related to Tesco or BA at all (so feel free to delete), but I've had no end of problems with 3 wireless printers I've had, on both IOS and Windows platforms.

Wired (network) is best. USB can also be done.

Plug into router / wireless access point / airport / time machine and it is just as accessible as wireless, minus the headache.

There were a lot of blue ones in Tesco during the last promo so I am fine on them for about another year!

It is causing some interesting documents to be printed when I forget to make sure it is in B&W!
I'm also holding out for a 500CC offer - we haven't seen one for a few months, not sure what the hold up is!!

I did too. I bought two from Tesco, one Canon and one Epson.
Both worked flawlessly for about a week, then the printer just failed to appear on the network, regardless of using a PC, Mac or iPad.

I really don't get how you lot have struggled so much with wifi printers! There are 2 in my house and neither have ever caused any problems whatsoever (mine is a dirt cheap Epson, the other seems to be a more premium HP model).

Much more convenient for me as I don't have to move my laptop to the printer and plug it in whenever I want to print, and as it doesn't need to be plugged into a router, the printer is tucked away under a desk as opposed to being on the hallway floor in everyones way!

I have a HP 3050A wireless that's used constantly with no trouble. There's a newer version of it available now.
Uses HP 301 inks which are pretty cheap and uaually available with the 500 points offers. 100 points for recycling the empty ones too.

I've still got a cupboard full of ink from the last promotion.

Does anybody know if the Tesco / TRF Eligible Cartridge List (see post 29) is going to be changed again this year as it was around this time last year?

It is indeed a mystery. Both worked out of the box, and worked fine for a while, then they refused to print.
They find my networks SSID, connect to it, accepts password and then nothing. Not even from iPad.

When was the next points to vouchers converting period? I'm sure I read 25th Jan somewhere but may be wrong.

Edit: just seen after logging in...

The final date to collect points for your February Clubcard statement is 25/01/14

I bought the wifi printer (hp4620) to use up all those inks I bought during the HP printer ink heist.

I am constantly reinstalling it. It has taken umbrage at something or other but refuses to tell me what so I an put it right and make friends again.

It is wonderful to have so much ink that you don't need to sweat and agonise every time you print something ....

I gave up doing all that. Takes too long.
Just easier now to use a USB cable and email what I want printed to the desktop.

I'm looking forward to the next Tesco bonus ink promotion too.
