Myself, I usually make kir royales at home with crème de myrtille.
The Collet really wasn't too bad. Though, I think the first glass might have come from a bottle that had been sitting around a bit. The second was much better.

Not much choice of reds in GC...
This was the 'choice' of red wine at GC North last weekend....
Fine if you like Pinot (and the Santenay was okay) but perhaps a tad one-dimensional!

Spending some morning hours in TF Flounge yesterday, I found Château Batailley 2006 drinking very well with the English Breakfast. Especially, the freshly cooked slices of soft black pudding distributed at the buffet just when entering, was a good match for that wine.
Coming to think of it, I recall no champagne beeing consumed - won't happen again!

On a recent trip to my local B&M there were numerous award winning ones from very small and interesting breweries for around £1.40 a bottle! Not a great expenditure to keep the Northern sorts happy. Coniston Bluebird would go down a treat. Maybe a different ale every month with some hazy-link to BA's regional services.

.I would think that some smaller breweries would sponsor some of their products to CCR/GF. Would be a very cheap display for them to showcase their products.
