I'm out with a colleague this trip so I can't guest, but will gladly say hi to someone! Possibly I can guest into GC and then guest my colleague into GF. Never tried, so not sure if it works.

AIUI If you have already guested someone into a lounge it will be recorded on the system that you have whichever lounge you are in/guesting into so in the above scenario won't work.

Thanks for your kind offers ManchesterBDFlyer which I have added to the Wiki.

I have not added your requests as it is the norm that you are automatically willing to be guested into a superior lounge for the same time and date.

This saves the Wiki from becoming too big and clogged up as if that was done I am sure you will appreciate how long the Wiki would be and no doubt a bit messy too.

First time trying this (and indeed it'll be my first time in the lounge too having just achieved Silver).
Hopefully I've got them in the correct format and allowing myself enough time to get to my flight (the Friday flight is the 1700 to IAD).
Also any suggestions as to which of the GC lounges would be most appropriate for the IAD flight?

I've been reading up on how this works, but one thing I'm not clear on is whether your guest needs to leave when you do or not. Apart from that, I think I understand it...

Also, if someone could be kind enough to update the wiki I'd be grateful - I'm afraid I don't have editing privileges.

The time it takes to get to your flight will largely depend on which gate/satellite terminal. If you don't need special assistance then 50 minutes should be plenty enough even for the furthest reaches of the C satellite. I think the estimated travel time from lounge to T5C is ~20mins. I read somewhere on here, by CWS i think, a guide for just how long it takes to get to any gate/satellite - I can't remember the details though. Your best bet is probably T5 Galleries south until you know what the gate will be - then move on to B or C if necessary. Remember though that C doesn't have a lounge.

I don't think there is anything specific written down about your guest leaving the lounge at the same time as you and I can't recall there being any reported problems at LHR. I have both left guests and been left as a guest without issue. Its probably best not to over abuse this though.

No, they don't have to leave when you do. In fact there is no way of tracking when someone leaves the lounge.

I can't remember - can guests leave (i.e. quick trip to the shops) and come back without the 'host'? If so, I'm assuming that this would only be the case until the host's flight has departed (if guest's flight leaves later).

Never been in this situation but I would think not. You need both BPs to get into the lounge and if your host has disappeared then you'd be stuck. I suppose that you could mention to the lounge agent that you were just popping out to the shop on the basis that you expect to be let in when you return. Just watch out for the shift change though!

I left the CCR once to do a bit of shopping and returned about 20 minutes later. It was the same chap on the door so he just let me straight in.

That would make sense. In some cases though (3rd party or other airlines), they only enter "+1" into the systems (do not scan BP), in which case this practise is possible as long as there are two different lounges available at the airport.
