Working for me, just tried a search. If your itinerary isn't possible or your search routing codes aren't right it will just say no flights so have a check on those.

My OH is not keen on not booking seats on our flight to MCO next summer. For the three of us we are looking at 84euro pp each way in CW. We are based in the north west but flying from DUB via LHR/JFK as significantly cheaper. We stand to earn about 320 TP from this. I estimate that we would need to pay about £400 to request our seats in advance. I think her reluctance to not book may allow me the chance to aim to get at least bronze (to book at 7 days) or silver status.
Anybody care to offer any possible routes? Nearest airport is Manchester so able to connect to most places from there. Free most weekends and can be at the airport from about 4pm. Also free during school holidays.
Any help greatly appreciated.

madfish are you on 0 TPs at the moment? If so any routings exUK to get 300 TPs is likely to cost at least £5-600 anyway. The obvious ones I can think of are MAN-LHR-HEL return which should be around £470 and get you 200 and you would still need 100 TPs from somewhere else.
JER is 40 TPs each way in CE so 80 TPs in total for a return. Most shorthaul routes are 40TP in J each way. There are a few which are shorthaul+ routes and get 80 TPs each way and there is a list of those in the wiki (HEL is one of them).
Btw, you don't need to pay for seat selection, it will be free if you wait until OLCI opens and you will have a few additional hours on most others as you should be able to check in for your longhaul when you get to t -24 hrs for the preceding connecting flight.

We leave DUB at 11.45 the day 19/7/15. Does this mean we can also do OLCI for the LGW/MCO the day before (so from 11.45 on 18/7)?
I'm aware that whatever I do it will cost more than just booking the seats, but hoping to have some fun along the way!

My OH is not keen on not booking seats on our flight to MCO next summer. For the three of us we are looking at 84euro pp each way in CW. We are based in the north west but flying from DUB via LHR/JFK as significantly cheaper. We stand to earn about 320 TP from this. I estimate that we would need to pay about £400 to request our seats in advance. I think her reluctance to not book may allow me the chance to aim to get at least bronze (to book at 7 days) or silver status.
Anybody care to offer any possible routes? Nearest airport is Manchester so able to connect to most places from there. Free most weekends and can be at the airport from about 4pm. Also free during school holidays.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Have been looking at the idea of JER to AMS which I think gives 80TP each way. but would need to do this twice for bronze. Would prefer options that also don't require Saturday night stays. Dublin would potentially be a good option. The quickest and easiest option is preferred. would love to try a full TP run to Gold but don't think my OH would be too happy!

Obvious statement I know, but the benefits of status are only truly realised when you can use them, i.e. by flying fairly regularly. If that is your intention then by all means go for it but take all the ancillary costs of otherwise pointless flying into account and assess them against what you will be likely to get in return. Also bear in mind that LGW routes are a bit problematic since there is no MAN service to there these days and I think HEL will require an overnight stopover. I confess that I've chased status for it's own sake in the past and now regret the time and money I spent on it.
I concur with the advice that you will have OLCI seat selection at t - 24 hours anyway and would add that BA's Club cabin isn't ideal for a party of 3 so you won't actually be sat truly together anyway and you might not get what you want 7 days out regardless.
I don't know if this is possible but have you considered paying for just 2 seats so your child and 1 parent are together with the 3rd passenger taking the chance at t - 24? I'd expect that to work better. Your call of course.

I'm missing 270 TP between now and end December, with no additional "required" travel.

PS: was that routing to ORD the key to get that price or do you think spending a few days somewhere apart from ORD would work as well?
