The dates I saw were mid to late October.

And perhaps I should mention it's business (I).
Do you know when the 5 days started as can't get a price near the one you quoted for mid/late Oct?

My outbound is Oct 12th, and it seems that 5 days after arrival the lower price kicks in. ITA is showing me:
Oct 14 MAD-DOH-BKK
Oct 20 BKK-DOH-MAD
at $1905 USD per person

My outbound is Oct 14th, and it seems that 5 days after arrival the lower price kicks in. ITA is showing me:
Oct 14 MAD-DOH-BKK
Oct 20 BKK-DOH-MAD
at $1905 USD per person
Seem to run into 2015 as well. I haven't checked many destinations but noticed KUL was the same fare.

You may well find that there are cheaper ones than Jersey (try MAN, LBA, EDI, AMS, etc) though there should be some good HBO fares to JER.
Yes did try those but I have not tried AMS, Jersey for 55 quid return sounds like a bargain to me?

Yes it looks pretty good. ^ (Day trip fare?)

You could double check by going to www.google.co.uk/flights, setting the option for BA only, leave the destination field blank, picking a date that suits you, and see what cities come up.

Assuming your current TP balance is 70, and your outbound flights earning 110 TP's (90 + 20) are prior to Nov 8th, then you will end the current membership year on 180 TP's. Then your return flights are post Nov 8th and count to your 2014/2015 membership year, leaving you on 110 TP's.
Yes the flight was in october but we came back on the 8th Of November.

its 100 TPs for each way USA-UK = 200
and 10 EW for USA internal flights = 20

Total - 220

My existing points 70

Grand total =290 when we get back on the 5th November. So in effect have 3 days to get 10 points. to take us to 300

Found flights in Sep/Oct to Jersey for £55 return = 20 Points

so hopefully should be able to get 310 TP's by the 8th Of November...

Clear? - Hope so

Actually it's 90 TP each way for USA-UK in premium economy (T class) = 180
and 20 TP each way for your USA internal flights in economy (Y or H class) = 40

Total = 220.

You only get 10 TP for economy if you book your flights on a "discount" economy ticket.

Since you're currently Blue and shooting for Bronze, Lifetime TPs are pretty irrelevant for you right now.

In a single year, between November 9th and November 8th the following year, you need to collect 300 TPs (and fly BA twice) to get Bronze.

If your year ended November 8th 2013, then flights taken in October 2013 shouldn't appear in your current TP balance... so I'm a bit confused.

You should, I expect, get full economy TPs - 20 per sector, hence 220 TPs overall. You need to check the booking class for each individual flight to be able to tell. It'll be on your ticket.

No I fully understand the TP's are valid for 12 months on my renewal date which is the 8th Of November every year..

Flight was taken In October but points awarded when I go back in November.

So my next flight will still be within the year as we get back on the 5th Of November (3 days before my 70 TPs earned from my 2013 flight, drop off)

It doesn't matter when the TP's post, they are back dated to the time of your flight.

So the 70 TP's must have been from flights departing 9th Nov 2013 onwards.

Example 1
35 TP TATL Flight departs 7th Nov, lands 8th Nov, TP's post 10th Nov would count to your previous year ending 8th Nov.
Example 2
35 TP TATL Flight departs 9th Nov would count to the year starting 9th Nov.

I have two questions:

- How do you making a booking for these complex routings?

- On BA, do Hotline tickets earn the same number of avios and tier points as non-hotline bookings?

I can't seem to find these, but in looking I did find a relatively cheap MAD-HEL-BKK on Finnair J - EUR1495 (£1180). Seems to be widely available.

Where are folk finding the QR deal?

I need around 1100+ TP PLUS my BA segments to requal. Tried looking for ex-HNL flights to the locations in Europe, but it wasn't pricing out very well. Is my only option to fly ex-AMS/Europe?

I also looked into doing the HNL-SAL run and incorporating the BA Caribbean flights, but the prices on those were retarded high!

Ideas? Thoughts?

Many Thanks!

there are some decent runs (sub £1) ex LAX to e.g. STT, SJU, SJD, CUN etc most of the time.

That doesnt give you the 4 BA metal flights though. Is there a reason for you to be in Europe at all? i.e. you could split it into normal flights to Europe with BA (whether that's Y or J) and then do 2 runs from LAX which can easily give 600 or more each.

seems a bit 'hard work' and inefficient to start do an ex EU run to HNL from a LAX starting point unless you can get a good deal LAX to EU to start with and the HNL run then just becomes a nestled trip.

Might have gone. I don't recall the precise dummy search I did when I posted but I can't find anything today.
