Hilton Hhonours question related to BAEC number

Whenever I enter my BAEC number in my account, it replies saying not a valid number.

Have any other members had the same problem?

Thank you.

Mine is 8 digits long, is yours?

I've had no problem entering my BA number, but in the past I had difficulties with other frequent flyer programmes and Hilton HHonors.

Sometimes these systems make incorrect assumptions on the membership number.

Emailing the service centre will allow them to add it for you.

Yes! I have had exactly the same problem. So glad it's not just me.

Use of the expression 'Hilton HHonours' isn't valid either.

I know, 'Honors' is the horrible American way of spelling an English word - but I suppose we have to live with it.

Back on topic - I don't have problems entering my BAEC number, but I do have problems getting HHonors points/miles credited to my desired airline programme (or is that program?).

Despite completely deleting an old UA account in favour (or is that favor?) of a BA account HHonors points/miles still appear in my UA account.

Their website does seem to be good at remember long-deleted FFP numbers.

To be sure, you should always check when signing in. It's usually written on the sheet which number is in there for earning, and I've never had a problem with getting the agent to change the number over to the FFP number that I want to earn on for that stay.
