Maybe Etihad will buy into FlyBE and outfit them as the next airline to fly under the "Etihad Regional" banner....

I flew INV - LGW with flybe.
They have changed the aircraft from an Emb 195 to an EMb 175 and reduced frequency to only two flights a day from three.
Available seats have dropped from 354 a day to 186 a day...
Yet there were only 55 of us on board... This was on a Monday 17.00 flight.
Six bases to shut 500 staff to go including around 170 flight deck.
Flybe have a modern fleet of emb 175/195 and DHC8-400s

It's difficult to see a way forward for Alitalia with this weeks news that Vueling and Ryanair are to hugely increase their presence at FCO. They both have some of the lowest cost bases of any airline, and are sure to trigger a price war on Alitalia's home patch.

4 [already rescheduled] flights on AZ this weekend and 4 more [also moved around quite a bit] two weeks after that.

Every time they get into a spot of bother they slice and chop schedule...

Looks like Cyprus Airways are trying to sell a slot at LHR.

I believe they have been trying to flog this slot for about a year now. Initislly it was offered to DL but they declined it. Perhaps they are trying to charge too much?

I wonder who the cash-strapped airline is who sold the slot to QR? Perhaps LOT?

Good question, I'm sure details will come to light soon.

A minor player, but it will be sad if it goes...

Clearly it is illegal state aid but Cyprus is hardly the worst offender for that...

EU just ordered Cyprus Airways to pay back the state aid. Government has indicated they will suspend operations immediately.
