Regional Lounges - Sandwich Shortage?

So. Tuesday night at 7.30pm the GLA lounge had no sandwiches left. Despite 2 flights still to depart.

Tonight, 8pm, still no sandwiches. Despite 2 more flights still to depart.

Are there BS cost cutting measures afoot?

Any other experiences in the regions? Or does GLA just have a really crap regional lounge manager?

Don't normally seek out food at NCL lounge, the one time I did this Monday evening and you guessed it no sandwiches at 6pm survived on some soup and few bits of scrappy but nice tasting cheese, needed food in day after great north run :-)

If they are anything like the sandwiches at MAN, I wouldn't worry. I don't know how they can make prawn or egg sandwiches so completely tasteless. Tasteless fillings, together with the dried out bread, even though the trays had only just been brought out, made them totally inedible. And that is from someone who will eat just about anything!

The food has been dreadful the couple of times I have been in the new GLA lounge - a couple if stale doughnuts, and some dried out cheese being about the sum.

Have you asked?

In NCL when waiting for BA 1337 (last flight of the day) there's usually a few sandwiches left but they start preparing the area for the next days breakfast just before boarding starts.

In MAN there was never sandwiches for the last flights even before BaxterStorey took over. The sandwiches finished around 7pm I believe.

In GLA they have no excuse. There's an onsite Tesco. They can get a couple of value sandwiches, add extra salt and cut them into quarters.

Very slim pickings last time I travelled on the later flights from Glasgow.

No soup or sandwiches. The jars of chilli crackers etc were filled but I think because they are tucked away in the whiskey snug bit they are often forgotten.

There was really tasty lentil soup in the GLA lounge last Sunday teatime. Of which I, along with others, just had to have seconds. (Perhaps this is why there is none left for later flights - sorry!)

There were also lots of different sandwiches and a good variety of cheese. I was very happy with all that. ^
