How do you cancel a miles booking when Exec office is closed?

How do you cancel a miles booking when Exec office is closed?

I prematurely made a booking for tomorrow SYD-CNS less than 5h ago which I need to cancel. The problem is that the exec office in the UK where my account is based is closed, and once they open there will be less than 24h before the flight so I will no longer be able to receive a full refund. What would you guys do in such a case? I have just emailed customer relations hoping that my cancellation request will have been received before the deadline but do I have any other choices?

Can't you get into MMB online and click the cancel button?

Have you tried phoning BA Sydney res or QF res if sector on QF? They won't be able to refund the miles but can cancel the reservation/release the space on the flight and you can sort out the financial bits with Exec Club later. I had a similar problem recently and the QF ticket desk at SYD A/p cancelled a BA Miles reservation for me 25 hrs before STD as unable to do on MMB. QF put a note on the res history that passenger had requested cancellation. I then phoned BA in UK when open & explained - Avios duly refunded.
