I'd love to hear the decision making process behind such a stupid, idiotic decision (by whoever made that call).

No Exterior views via the IFE system...

I will ask but perhaps leave out some of that vocab! I agree it's a shame, even the IB A340's have the tail cam...

Actually LA the EK F showers are much larger than the BA F ones, the picture you posted for the F toilets is probable 1/3 of EK's.

But at least BA's 380 is a bit larger than the 747. I will take any improvement.

I believe the cameras *are* installed. I saw a few shots of the cockpit and the screens on the dashboard show the tail cam in action.

I can only assume this is a technical requirement for the plane, but is not fed through the the IFE?

This is also fitted to the B777-300 but it's not the same as the exterior camera for passenger viewing.

When we toured the flight deck post-flight, the pilots confirmed the above mentioned.

Hmm, that's a shame. I only hope that the first few groups haven't ruined things for the following on FTer's?

My guess is that they were happy to spend a bit of time with those who made the trip specially on the first day of service, whereas now it's just too time consuming to do after every flight.
