BBC radio has reported a suspension of flights because of an incident involving an Ethiopian Airway aircraft. No detail on their website yet.

Both Runways closed (no fire cover) - Ethopian 788 apparently had a fire; although some reports say it was on the ground. Am sure this will develop.

No movement at LHR

In the flounge at T5 and looking out of the windows there is big queue of aircraft waiting to take off and nothing landing. Anyone know what is going on?

Just the day I decide not to work from the Heathrow office.
Hope it's not too serious.

Since the pic show the plane near a terminal building, I'm a bit surprised they've closed the runways.

Or is that just standard procedure?
