Trip Report : Flyertalk goes on board the new BA Boeing B787 Dreamliner
British Airways very kindly extended an invitation to Flyertalk to visit the Heathrow engineering base this morning to take a look at the new 787 Dreamliner, recently delivered from Boeing.
Here's a few shots from the visit. Please feel to post any questions and I'll endeavour to answer.
Enjoy.

Great pics ^
The new Club World colour scheme looks good, although I do think the cabin is rather crowded in 2-3-2 format.
WTP looks like a nice small cabin, but those WT seats look incredibly narrow.

Thanks for the pics Oxon Flyer ^
Did you by any chance happen to try the 'new' CW footstool?
I can see the mounting arrangement is different in some of your pics and from the BA promo material but am curious if it is 'improved' or really improved.
Any comment/other pic not posted that would show this?
Also, the middle sole seat in Club, did you happen to sit in one and see if the extra room on the side is flush when flat or if it is raised above the seat? Did you get a chance to open the drawer at the bottom one can see in your pics? (not the normal CW drawer, rather the new additional one).
Thanks. Can't wait to fly these birds.

Fully up and horizontal: aligned with the flat bed for sleeping.
Fully down and horizontal: for use as a foot stool.
Z-Position: stool at the bottom of the track and angled up, seat set to Z-Position (my preferred way of watching a movie whilst sipping a G&T, when on my jollies I should add)
It seems it is all the interim positions that are no longer possible.

Don't expect BA to extend it to all board members, but just for the sake of transparency, would be good to know.
