I'm local-ish, so yes. Funnily enough I was PMing PETER01 about this very topic quite recently, and we were umming and erring over timing.

Count me in on either night.

Prospero May 17, 2013 2:51 pm

Having very recently moved over to Glasgow either night suits me perfectly, so please sign me up as a definite :)

rxfleming you must be psychic

CWS and I were discussing this very recently re a Scottish Do as I was going to organise one and we were discussing possible venues but now it's over to you. :)

Count me in meantime please (however it's a difficult time for me to get leave then but I'll do my very best to be there!)

Well done for starting this ^

Pete

Go on then! ;) Saturday works for me so I can flight out on a Friday night.

I just scrapped my EDI plan for July so this will have to make up for it!

Would love to attend my first ever FT 'do' in my home City. Count me in, probably with Mr Z :)

themapelligroup May 17, 2013 3:33 pm

I'm only 18 years old but I'd love to take part at this do! Are there any problems regarding my age?
Either day is ok for me

Scots_Al May 17, 2013 3:45 pm

Sounds like a great idea... unfortunately, I'm not around that weekend or the previous one.

KARFA May 17, 2013 3:47 pm

I would have loved to come but am flying out to have a few days in Verona over the bank holiday weekend - I know it isn't a bank holiday on Monday 26 August in Scotland.

So far this year I have been away when the Manchester and the do was on, and again for the recent Jersey do. Having never stayed in Glasgow (driven through a few times heading further north) I would have loved to look around as well.

I am determined to come to my first do soon.

K&C May 17, 2013 4:24 pm

I'm another that is local'ish, so count me in.

Lan44 May 17, 2013 4:28 pm

You forgot option 4 on the poll:-

No thanks, I'd prefer not to get chibbed!

But there are so many hospital's in the city that you would be treated quite promptly! :p

Thank you so much everyone for your responses already - it would be nice to gauge opinion as to an appropriate venue, so please feel free to PM me any suggestions. Thank you.

Lan44 is a Scaredy-cat ;p

Absolutely not. 18 is a very valid age for drinking in Glasgow. And I suspect there shall be plenty of it!

Sixth Freedom May 17, 2013 4:51 pm

I would like to attend on either day but voted for Friday because the service on the trains will be much better on a Friday/Saturday pair rather than a Saturday/Sunday pair.
