Rotterdam airport- lounge?

I'm flying back to uk from the nice and tiny Rotterdam airport tomorrow. I can't find a lounge on the one world site, I guess there is't one?

Thanks

As far as I'm aware, no. A friend of mine flies in to RTM and out of AMS for this very reason.

There is no lounge, but there are a few places to eat and drink there. It is an extremely small airport, and you should plan to spend the least amount of time there. If you have done OLCI and got your boarding pass, arriving 30 minutes before departure would be too long! In fact, thinking about it, 30 minutes is probably a bit long even if you haven't.

Stop by the check-in desks to pick up a voucher for a couple of drinks and a snack from the post-security cafe.

Tiny airport, swift security, 20 metres from exit security to the passport control at the gate.

If you are in Club Europe or Silver/Gold, stop at Check-In and they'll give you a voucher.

I've not been there for a year or so, but there used to be a tiny lounge upstairs that I used my Priority Pass card that came with my Amex Plat to get into.

It was nothing to write home about.

The beauty of RTM is that it makes LCY seem cumbersome. I arrived early and asked to be put on a flight departing in 40 minutes rather than the one I was booked in, and they actually put me on a flight scheduled to depart in 10 minutes, and we left on time!

If you show your boarding pass with BA Gold or Silver status you can help yourself to 3 items from the cafe (there are some restrictions). It's not quite the lounge experience, but it's better than nothing

The airport looks and feels like an extended lounge - love it.

Never knew that - thanks for the tip!

By the way - Lufthansa started flying from RTM (to MUC, twice a day) late last year, shortly before BA commenced its service from LHR. However, LH do not maintain any presence at the airport and it is not possible to check in at the airport - you have to check in online in advance!!!!

I suspect it was a response to this erroneous post immediately above:

Flying beginning of June so will post my experience.
I won't expect glitz & glamour but it might be a quieter place then the main departures when there is a bundle of Transavia (HV) flights departing for the holidays.

* seems fast track security is available for Club Europe: https://www.rotterdamthehagueairport...itish-airways/

Is this the same space where there used to be a lounge in a decade or so ago, on the right after security? The chairs look a lot comfier, and 150m^2 sounds larger, although 20 pax was about the limit of the old lounge as I remember it during the days of my VLM commutes RTM<>LCY.

As mentioned earlier, RTM is far more streamlined than AMS, although I found car hire pick up at RTM to be a bit flakey if you’re on a late flight, the counter staff had a habit of leaving before I arrived!
