All I will say is how many flights have you been on where people have arrived late laden with shopping, and how many times has this happened with crew members.
To answer that (for all the airlines I use), in the past 5 years....
Flights delayed by pax arriving late with shopping - nil
Flights delayed by late/non-arriving crew - 2
Total occurrences = approx 0.4% of flights.
Not a regular problem, in my world.
