AFAIK the BA 11/12 is staying on the 744, only the BA 15/16 is changing to a 773.

I feel a bit sorry for BKK too. I wonder what the future holds for it. Surely Qantas dropping it helps a little in terms of capacity?

Qantas may have dropped it, but the SYD tag-on got cut with it.

BKK capacity has been cut down by a number of European airlines recently and maybe BA will follow - seems to be better suited to a 777. It won't be dropped though.

I would guess a move BA have been very keen to make once they got enough -300 series, the fuel savings I imagine to be significant

PRG, HEL, VIE, OTP, WAW, BUD, LIS and GIB are still on T3 according to ba.com... so no further changes in shorthaul routes yet, only LCA moved to T5

Is anything giving way to allow SIN/SYD, DUS, TLS and LCA to move to T5? No mention of anything going to 1 or 3.

Or have they magically conjured up some spare capacity?

I have a funny feeling about some Scandinavian destinations (along with HEL currently), similar to how Spanish flights were.

Are you certain about this?
The way I read the post is the 747 will change to a 773 and beforehand the 15/16 might change to a 773 too.

BA11/12 will still be a 747 between LHR and SIN. (no change)

BA15/16 will be a 773 between LHR and SYD with a SIN stopover. (change from 747)

You can already check by doing a dummy booking for next June, which says the BA11/12 is a 747 and the BA15/16 is a 777.
