i Preface
This wikipost (and thread) exist because BA introduced a new route in Dec. 2012 from London Heathrow (LHR) Terminal 5 (T5) to Incheon International Airport (ICN), Seoul, Korea. This wikipost links to the latest, most relevant information we have collected for FTers flying or considering this route. The extensive nature of the thread is due to 80 FTers having taken up the special fare conditions during the first month.

Currently there is a glitch and the wikipost can only be edited by a moderator or ambassador - to update this thread, please send a PM to a moderator or ambassador. This wikipost can be edited by anyone, and therefore is superior to a traditional 'first post' as anyone can post new, corrected or updated information and link to that post in this wikipost thereby ensuring no single person has to maintain the first post and that information is always up to date. The suggested procedure is to go to the existing linked post and quote that post (if correcting or updating information) and then make the corrections / updates and remove the [QUOTE] tags. Then come back to this wikipost and link to the post you have just made. For new information, simply post the new information and link to it here. Please check that the information you post is indeed new or correct before posting. Thanks, we hope you find this thread of use and interest.

This thread (guide) is an ongoing collaborative effort and could not have been produced without everyone here first being informed about the new route and incredible sale conditions by BApilotinsider, who started this thread originally, the resultant large interest from the FT community, and finally the kind contributions of many throughout this thread, with a special nod to itsmeitisss and UTA_flyinghigh. We hope it is of use not only to those going during the introductory month but also evolves later on when the route is mature.

Ah, okay...as long as new first then I'm up for it...

Now who's getting 64 and 62 row seats...

I can imagine that would be logical as Club well oversold by looks of things and down back you can likely hear a mouse stirring it is so quiet...so to avoid downgrades 747 sounds feasible...

Just don't tell T8191

Weather post updated with latest outlook for the next week...check it out using the wikipost link.

Basically -5 to -15 C at night.

For the party plane next weekend...looks like snow so far...3 cm accumulations forecast at this stage Friday night! (but it is still a week out and the accuracy will not be great for that long...let's wait and see how this develops).

So pack and dress warm.

3.....2.....1 Day left until our first intrepid travellers are on the way to T5 and a nice trip in luxury with BA.

So, we are now just before the T-24 for this first flight and of course quite a few people have indeed checked and reserved seats at the last minute...so the last update before our group flies...

F=5 of 12 seats reserved
CW= 41 of 48 seats reserved
WT+=21 of 32 seats reserved
WT=32 of 127 seats reserved (most people won't pay to reserve I think in WT)

The fare loads are:

F5 A5 J1 C2 D1 R1 I1 W2 E2 T2 Y9....right back to O9 G9

So it appears there are a few seats in F obviously empty, CW nearly full, WT+ nearly full, and WT still with at least a handful of seats empty.

Reasonable for the first flight on a new route, well done BA. ^

In other news:

I'll get the 'things to do' list up today a bit later.

Yahillwe, of course you can join us...we'd love nothing better. I'll send a PM.

Cheers, BotB

You do realise Stez that the airport 'hotel' you are going to use doesn't have heating don't you?

Am not sure if I will be able to come, it all depends on when you guys are going. I just came back and am unpacking.

But if you fit any of my coats you are most welcome to BORROW one of them. What color suits you best, pink?

At -15c, I'll take any colour, even burgundy/orange!

Unfortunately, I won't be joining the gang in Seoul town itself, as I will have just come off a plane from SYD at arund 10pm, so I'll be going straight to an airport hotel. And that is after a night in SYD with another FTer!

Will we get a £30 refund from BA since the fare should be £747?

The owner of pants of such color hasn't been around lately.
