Silly lemon

Has anyone else seen the silly BA adverts featuring a slice of lemon?

This one is on BA.com:

I'm pretty sure the equivalent one on the Tube has the lemon talking about itself in the first person. I hadn't had a coffee yet though this morning.

Pretty asinine IMHO.

This one specifically refers to the lemon being in a G&T.

I can think of at least one FTer who will be content with the content of the ad, for that reason alone.

Marketing message 1: Fly BA and get a fully flat bed in CW offering space, privacy and comfort and the opportunity to arrive at your destination relaxed and refreshed.

Marketing message 2: Fly BA ... get a free slice of lemon!

Seriously though ... I like the ad. Lemons are one of my favourite things and I like the yellow colour too. It looks fresh, healthy and invigorating.

I wish they would offer lime as well as lemon.

I prefer my mineral water with lime, and it would mean they could offer Corona too!

Saw it tweeted by BA earlier. Not bad, and makes an stab at trying to dispel the "stuffy" BA image.

They aren't the best BA adverts ever but I like the relaxed warm tone of voice and slightly offbeat humour.

Poor show- nothing wrong with the advert, except everybody knows you have lime in a g+t.

Just saw this on the Victoria line. Quite amusing, although a little weird.

I think the lemon ad is quite good - catches the eye. But it does require the person reading or watching to think a bit. Some might say that's asking a lot of no frills frequent flyers, who this appears to be aimed at.

(I wouldn't say that, of course! )

If it is G&T don't they have to include some drinkaware sign?

I wonder if the ad agency who made this realise that they music they chose is the same music EK uses on its arrival video in DXB - on every flight that lands there. Been running for ages...
