I do feel however that there are more than one way to read your post. Do nuts get sticky when they get hot - is this a BA speciality. I like mine oven hot with a sprinkling of cocktail salt.
Ouch that stings, do you still like a cheesy nibble?

No. How do you know that it stings or am I too young to know?

British English vs. American English:

So, answer is yes...if you use the term y'all when you speak

Still - we do say that we have forgotten rather that I have forgot (get and forget) - so maybe they are more in keeping than we.

Yes, because of their high fat content they are likely to go rancid if not stored properly, and it's not good to have a rancid nut in your mouth. You'll notice instantly from the smell and the taste

I am sorry about that. English is not my mothertounge, so my writing is far from perfect. Thank you for the correction.

You're probably a lot better with English than most of us are with a foreign language

Everyone here should expect their spelling, typing, grammar, punctuation and clothing criticised … it's what makes this such a lovely place to be

Anyway, from the British view, 'gotten' is an American word.
So it's definitely not allowed

… and what golfmad said as well

Plenty of nuts on my F flight last week (and the F cabin was full).

However, I never cease to wonder at the trivialities people can get worked up about. More or less nuts on an F flight. Not quite in the same class of problems as world poverty and sickness IMHO.

Oh come on, it's not only a real word, it is one of the best examples of America preserving the language for us. It is still used in Northumberland and the Borders.

The word features five times, yes five times, in Shakespeare's plays, notably the Groom in Richard II ("with much ado at length have gotten leave/to look about my sometimes royal master's face", the roan Barbary bit), plus in the Merry Wives of Windsor, in the Nym and Falstaff set of one liners: "He was gotten in drink: is not the humour conceited?". And as for the King James Bible...

So very suitable for this forum, and predates modern America by a very long margin.

If it's good enough for the bard it's good enough for me.

The title is a bit misleading...I was thinking, well... you know.

In all seriousness the nuts are awful and shouldn't even be served, instead replaced by something actually tasty.

Indeed … an example [of many] as how America has somehow survived the evolution of the English language as spoken in the UK.
Aluminum is another … or perhaps not?

Anyway, getting back on topic, does the bowl have a warning label saying it may contain nuts?
