BA2012C fly past 10.9.2012
Just seen the plane being prepared outside T5. See picture. Due to depart 1415 and on taxiway at 1420. Due over London around 1545 IIRC.

- does anyone know where you can get a decent hi-res version of this photo? My daughter really likes it and the one she has stuck on her wall at the moment is the cover of an Evening Standard (I know, not even 4 and she's a plane spotter already!!).

The dove I remember seeing had a gold tail, but the one that's just flown past had a blue/red standard BA tail. Are there two variants or was this a quick repaint to strengthen the BA brand? Or was I imagining the gold tail?

That's Firefly (the aircraft used to carry the flame), the Dove livery is different and does have a gold tail.

I think BAW2012 always had the standard BA tail:

Were you thinking of the 'dove'?

"Firefly" G-EUPC is the only yellow/gold one - used to bring the flame from Athens earlier in the summer.
