At the moment I (+1 other) fly Virgin (LGW-LAS-LGW) every November but am thinking of switching allegiances now I have a load of Avios and trying the MFU route from WT+ to CW. I am booked with Virgin this November, but thinking ahead to November 2013 (I know I cannot check availability yet) I was wondering what peoples experience is of scoring an MFU on the LHR-LAS-LHR route at this time of year (ie. in November) for 2. I am a little flexible with dates, usually always go out on a Thursday and stay for 6 nights. Is there a good time to look for MFU in general or on particular routes or is it just a question of checking daily? Thanks.

You should be able to get MFU on this route pretty easily - I've redeemed twice in CW in the last couple of years, and the cabin has been wide open for redemptions - same redemption bucket as WT+>CW upgrades. I go in January, but would imagine that November will be similar. Remember also that with the new LGW-LAS service, there is now even more capacity on this route (note that from recent experience though, Y is usually full). Have fun!

You will have no problem finding a redemption seat for November. The potentially tricky part is tying in the redemption availability with a reasonable (sale) price for the WT+ ticket, but you should be fine.
