Citibank PremierMiles - BA (Avios) - SG based

For those of us based in Singapore, Citibank PremierMiles card is now offering an option to transfer 'Citi miles' into Avios 1:1 (usual fee applies).

Minimum transfer is 500 miles and the card is now offering 2 miles per $1 spent on overseas transactions.

Apologies if this has already been posted.

Have you seen the UOB AMEX, too?

I have looked at the UOB Amex which on paper looks better, I was put off by the fact that you had to transfer in blocks of 5000 UNI Dollars (from memory)? The UOB also offers the free airport transfer too (subject to minimum spend) which did make it more attractive.

Citibank are now offering 2 miles for $1 spend on overseas transactions which helps.

That is good news for my 300k citi miles, better then the 1:3 conversion for AsiaMiles and lets not talk about krisflyer.

Now if only the HSBC Infinity card would include BA Avios that would be great. Love that card with no minimum spend, free one way airport transfers, unlimited JetQuay access and Immigration assistance in 8 countries in Asia.

Thanks!

The local banks seem to have a some sort of agreement to offer the better conversion and spend rates on a cyclical basis. DBS altitude used to the better card, but now seems to have slipped behind UOB's recent launch on the AMEX miles cards.....I'm going to do have to do some more sums!

300k miles transferred from my Citibank card in Singapore to my Avios account and posted in 2 days.

Good to have an earning card in Singapore, shame no things like 241 etc.
