The Upgraded BMI 321's

Just reading the Angst in the TLV thread and started to wonder if these aircraft are being used / will be used on the BMI flights that run till mid October. As booked on quite a few in that period, it would Venice to have a flat bed

Anyone know if they are doing so, or it will stay with the big recliner seat until the end?

The upgraded cabin was planned by bmi before the takeover so there is a possibility you'll get this cabin on a BD operated flight.

There was a post in the bmi forum which listed some of the flights the first refurbished aircraft was operated on. I know it's done some LHR-DMR runs.

You'll know with reasonable certainty based on the seat maps. If the rows go 2/1/2/1 its the new config. From the other thread I believe its only 1 aircraft currently though.

I don't think they will be used on bmi operated flights as these aircraft are having their equipment aligned to BAs operating AOC at the same time as having the new seats fitted which have apparently been recovered to bring them into the BA brand colour scheme.

The AMM flight is being operated by BA cabin crew in September, so I expect this may be the first route that you will see this aircraft on.

The first aircraft, G-MEDU has been operating primarily the bmi LHR-DME services (daytime and overnight) for the last week or so, although it has popped up elsewhere. Seating is in bmi brown cow leather with the black wallpaper on the bulkhead at the back of business class. Apparently passenger feedback has been very good.

G-MEDU has actually only done 2 x Moscow rotations since returning. The majority of the time is has been operating the bmi Cairo rotation.
