one advantage of living in the regions
You stand a greater chance of the coveted SEQ01 !!
Checked in for my MAN to LHR flight, with an overnight stay in LHR before a transatlantic flight. As expected, able to check in for both flights, checking in for the TA at T-36 and securing SEQ01.
A small item of benefit that helps to off set the northern weather

AFAIK,
Having had this a few times, all it does is frustrate the GA when you arrive at the first in line to board, because it shows you as "already boarded". I have watched ground staff scan my BP repeatedly getting a red light with "already boarded" even though I was first in line to board the aircraft.
I would guess that they use the SEQ001 BP to initiate boarding. But that's a pure guess.

And the fact you don't have to re-clear security at T5 on the way out
And a pub won't charge you >Ł5 for a pint of lager and a packet of crisps...

Thanks to this thread, I've just noticed that some of my old mobile BPs have Seq 001 on them; usually the "day return" ones where it's possible to check in prior to T-24.
Now I can die happy...

Hardly seen any rain since moving back to Worsley, only 6 miles away. On Saturday, it was pouring down at Ikea, but cleared up as we approached barton aerodrome.
My new office has a lovely wall-to-ceiling window overlooking a canal where the only problem is having to pull the blinds down when the sun streams in.
Oh, and a 15 minute commute, and I leave home 3 hours before my plane is due to take off from LHR, rather than 3 1/2 where I used to live near London.

Ohh yes
The worse bit? typically my transatlantic flights have come in over southern scotland and the lake district. I've seen my house out of the window, but had the depressive realisation that it would be 8hrs or more before I get home. If only I could have a parachute
