London LHR to Thira (Santorini) JTR
British Airways 652
A320
May 12, 2018

Ugh, 5+ hours in fake Business Class. But it's nonstop so you suck it up and try to survive the flight. Fortunately, we had bulkhead seats (indeed the entire row) today.

In the air, excellent service from a pleasant although at times annoyingly chatty FA.

OK, I know we're sitting in Economy seats, but the food tray was way too small. Cheese, dessert and starter with no room to spare.

The smoked salmon starter was good.

As was the chicken. But there was even less room now. Jeez.

OK, problem solved by moving the cheese and dessert to the middle divider.

Hey there was even IFE today. LOL.

The chicken looked nice but the pasta looked way too creamy for my taste so I had the cod. Pleasant enough but definitely not grilled despite the description.

That coffee creme caramel is still on the menu.... Really disliked its taste, texture and look. That crumb on top it's making it appear curdled.

CE evening flight, NCL-LHR. Chicken, mozzarella and tomato panini (highlight being that an a/c change resulted in us getting an ex-BMI A321 with proper business class for the short flight)

Bread not horrid but a bit overdone so crunchy, in a bad way, on one end.

Toblerone was delicious but I swear at one point the pre-arrival meal included crisps and was generally much better? With all the 'improvements' to WT (where this was also served), it's a bit of a joke, even compared to the likes of AA.

This was the BA 293 - LHR-IAD in WTP, May 2018.
Had this in WTP on the BA229 LHR-BWI on 22 May - not too bad, although as noted, the chunks of beef were a bit small. I certainly didn't think that this was a CW main course. Bread rolls didn't seem to match previous offerings. However, at least there was Cava pre-flight - last time there was just juice and water.

Do you know if both dessert wine choices were on board? I've yet to do an F segment where both choices were loaded!

It would be very unusual for either wine not to be loaded, I think you've been very unlucky. I always have the dessert wine with cheese (or dessert) and am yet to have a refusal. On the occasions I have asked for the port, it has always been forthcoming.

They should always be both loaded as one is a dessert wine and the other port to be served with cheese.

Sorry I did not order any port or dessert wine for this flight! I will ask in my future BA F flights (which will be in late August/September)!

BA 116 JFK-LHR 2010-0820 747-400

Personalized menus and cards at each seat, really nice touch

Good app, the cheese was excellent

Excellent soup and very hot too

Fairly boring salad

Cooking beef is still a skill BA lacks. I was full at this point from lounge dinner and dinner on the plane so I skipped to dessert

Quick breakfast before landing. Overall an incredible flight.

BA LHR-HEL 1125-1610 A-320

My favorite BA cocktail

Better food quality than I was expecting. The starter was nice and the entree had way more chicken than I was expecting.

I had exactly that menu on KRK–LHR just under two weeks ago. Really delicious. Though I am disappointed to see that your starter seems to have shrunk – mine came with three prawns and more of the green stuff which I cannot currently remember what was.
