LHR-DME, First
Ricotta and spinach omelette with asparagus, rösti potato, sautéed mushrooms and oven-roasted cherry tomatoes - really delicious!
The menu on this flight, which leaves at 08:45, isn't the best. Even though most people (including me) would probably have had breakfast in the CCR, it's a steadfastly breakfast offering - I ate about an hour out of DME (13:00 UK time), so would have much preferred a more "lunch-y" meal...
ETA: although it's clearly a LOT better than the woeful options posted by megaloman in the previous thread!

Wild mushroom consommé with mushroom soufflé and root vegetables - rather unpleasantly bitter: I ate the soufflé bits and left the rest!
Vegetarian spring rolls with sweet chili sauce (replacement starter): these were so good I got a second portion!!
Ricotta and spinach tortelloni with slow-roasted tomato salsa, parmesan and pea shoots: another unoffensive, but unimaginative, BA pasta dish.
Rich chocolate tart with carmelised pecan nuts and cappuccino mascarpone: tasty, but very rich/sweet indeed - I only managed a few mouthfuls.
Cheese plate: Chevington, Shropshire Blue and Applewood Cheddar: a rather bizarre presentation!

I can’t recall ever having veal as an inflight meal - this is one of the best things I’ve had in my mouth at 30,000 feet!

AVML breakfast, medium. I can confirm that SPML for breakfast are all hot for both medium and long, I presume for short too (not sure about super short). Still yellow dhal (nice) but this time with curried cauliflower (not as tasty as I had hoped but still ok) and the nasty dry roti. I miss the lack of the slices of chili in the previous AVML rotation but the cauliflower is better than the floury thing that there was before and I much preferred this to the normal breakfast personally.
PS: I know nothing about Hindu dietary rules but was surprised that the meal had the yoghurt and butter as I imagined that dairy product from cows would not be allowed?

Vietnamese style spring rolls (yet only get one).
Risked the beef. I think crew member was new as she thought I was cracking a joke when I said I would risk the beef. It was actually nice and tender.
