Oh that's very sad, can't believe they didn't paint over the titles before ferrying it over.

Will it ever come back into service from there? Obviously not for BA but from what I remember, it's a spring chicken compared to the 734s...

Some of these vintage airliners are still flying. I was looking at LAX LAS on United and saw a 757 appear and this was for later in 2012!

What are you talking about???
The 757 is perfectly fine age-wise.
It will be in service with UA for a long time.

How about Delta's 35 year old DC9s? Now, that's old.

Indeed. AA have a number of 757s doing transatlantic flights every day. In the UK, you can see them at LHR and MAN.

And if you look at the airliners.net page from which this photo appears, you'll see that despite the titles she is now registered as N956FD.

It appears that Fedex took her on 14 February 2012 - you can see the de-registration date on G-INFO and the registration date on ATDB.

Great info... Thanks! ^

The number of times I worked on that specific aircraft, seems odd in my mind that she will never again carry passengers, apart from flight crew... If I remember rightly, she had one of the worst D2L to open on the 752 fleet... Very stiff considering the amount of use it got...

I will miss her, despite her smelly toilets. A good firm 752 landing was a treat into ABZ... I think an expletive may have even escaped my mouth on one occasion

Oh sad. I was on the last European flight to Madrid. A couple of the crew had their 80s uniform with them and said what a great plane to fly on - totally reliable (smelly lavs excluded)

Gawd rest her and all who flew on her
