High fares

Hello!

So I need 1 return WT+ flight before september to hit Silver, working on the Olympics means little chance of getting away once we get towards May so I want to try and squeeze in a weekend away on a WT+ MFY to club to give me the status. Only problem is WT+ fares are stupidly high at the moment (NYK at Ł1k!!!). Any ideas? A sale would be nice i guess??

If you think Ł1k is expensive for WT+ to NYC, I'm afraid you are unlikely to get cheaper at the moment. Supply vs demand.

Is there anywhere else you would like to go? What about BAH or DXB?

To be fair, NYK was just an example - happy to go anywhere really but JFK 'normally' seems to be the cheapest long haul...

If you're looking for dates in Feb/March even TLV/CAI start at Ł700+ so outside of a sale I can't see WT+ to NY being much less than Ł1000.

How many TPs do you need? If you are based in LON, you could maybe do a couple of EU returns and POUG to get a CE seat and 40 TPs each way (would likely work out a lot cheaper than WT+).

In April I see:

CAI for GBP 750 in WTP or GBP 1,140 in CW outright.

TLV for GBP 693 for GBP 1,068 outright.

Anywhere further will probably be out of budget although you might get something in the middle east.

Including the costs of getting to FCO? Plus the extra YQ for CW could push this option well above GBP 1k.

Do you need the 150 tier points or would 120 from a long Club Europe flight do?
