Used the BA Avios link and bought 30 day advance purchase weekend Biz/First tickets for 12 GBP per ticket. Quite a savings off the normal Heathrow Express site quote.

Went on the HEX website last night to book tickets for mid week returns in November. Was pleasantly surprised to find a ticket for only 7.50 each way. Seemed to be no restrictions apart from travelling on the specified date. Also got the 30% off using my railcard which you don’t normally get on the discounted tickets - so only 4.95 each way in the end.

They seem to have changed their fares with the new web site and enhanced some prices.

Apparently it's not on strict number of days for advanced fares now, and the fare levels are:

5.50, 7.50, 10.00, 12.50, 15.00 or 16.50

One way full fares are still 22 off peak and 25 anytime.

I guess they were losing ridership. Great prices now. Definitely worth it for 5.50 GBP if you are near paddington.

New Heathrow Express Pricing

In advance of Crossrail, Heathrow Express are reducing the pricing of their journeys.

They are introducing a quota controlled pricing structure for bookings in advance with fares at 5.50, 7.50, 10, 12.50, 15.00 plus 16.50.

These fares will be available any day of the week and can be booked up until 24 weeks in advance. This means that you no longer have to book 90 days in advance and travel on a weekend or bank holiday to get the 5.50 price point however the first midweek 5.50 fares I can see is in January with a sputtering of 7,50 fares in December and some 15 fares in November.

Adults can take a child free which means a family of four could travel for as little as 11 one way.

Avios cant be earnt on these fares but you can earn Heathrow rewards.

JFK19 currently offering a 33% discount. Last minute return ticket was 24.40.

The promo was due to expire on 31 Dec but it worked for me this morning.

This fall we are offering British Airways passengers 1/3 off a full price ticket* on Heathrow Express between 1 September and 31 December 2019 by using promo code JFK19.

Something I discovered the other day is that the new(-ish) Advance tickets can be used with some Railcards, in particular the Two Together card. This seems to actually be under cutting the tube for some of my trips booked months in advance.

I know this is the least of everyone's problems at the moment, but does anyone know if there is a way to get a refund for a non-refundable advance purchase HEX ticket, that I won't be taking anymore?

Ring them, I had one of those booked for this Thursday and rang them, got through really quickly and it was no problem to cancel. Money has also already been refunded.
I mentioned that I would not be taking my flight due to Corona-Virus, but was fully prepared for them to say no, so was positively surprise.

Just wondering if there are any codes at the moment and what loads are generally like on the HEX and the slower TFL stopping train.

HEX is still very empty. You can have a carriage to yourself most of the time
