As is Austrian wine. I shared two bottles of Juris Tricata in the small town of Kufstein (about 90 mins south of Munich). Made in a similar way to Amarone (grapes are dried in the sun before they are pressed) it is an excellent wine which I can find no UK importer for. There are some interesting Super Tuscan style blends in quite a few of the Austrian wine regions, blending Blaufrankisch with Zweigelt and Cab, Merlot and Syrah. Fairly inexpensive still too, although prices are increasing.

2012 BA Champagne & Wine thread
Last year in First to LAS I had a really nice sparkling English rosé. Anyone remember what it was - a friend of mine would like it for a party.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that it could only have been the Balfour Brut Rosé (subject of a rambling thread last year with one or two useful posts including this one).

According to my wine merchant Nyetimber is cheaper this year because it's not as good as previous years. The latest Chapel Down fizz is excellent.
I like to support English wine making where its possible - I would choose English sparkling over NV Champagne.
